Victor Schetinger, Kathrin Raminger, Velitchko Filipov, Nathalie Soursos, Susana Zapke and Silvia Miksch

This paper is an exercise in bridge building through re-thinking the common methodological foundations of Visual Analytics (VA) from a Digital Humanities (DH) perspective. We introduce the Data-Users-Tasks design triangle and re-purpose it to expose the complexities underlying interdisciplinary DH projects, tying it to undergoing discussion in the literature. We describe our experiences interacting with researchers from various disciplines, including mu- sicology and (art) history, and conclude with the lessons that we learned along the way.
